The writing/content sounds AI generated. Not a fan and doesn't feel authentic..mostly keywords are covered when referring to festivals etc.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s input like this that helps us improve our products and think carefully about what we create next.

The content in our books is thoughtfully developed with a great deal of care given to how Indian culture is introduced to very young children. Because this particular book is designed as a first introduction to Indian festivals, the language and concepts are intentionally simple and focus on a few recognizable elements from each celebration.

We completely understand that some families may be looking for deeper stories or more detailed cultural context. Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective with us.

Meera's Festival Fun: Meera is a little elephant who celebrates Pongal, Diwali, Makar Eid, Holi, and many other festivals across India. Each festival is colourful and unique in its own way. Writer and illustrator Chadha does a great job of exploring festivals throughout the year in India. The illustrations are very appealing to little readers, and the colours are calming and beautiful. I like how she simplifies festivals that are out little readers can understand and make sense of the different festivals across India. A nice board book that is perfect for all ages! As an educator, I would use this book in my classroom at the primary level.

A delightful and inclusive board book that makes learning about Indian festivals fun and accessible for little ones. My 15 month old loves reading it and looking at the pictures.
The illustration successfully evokes the sensory richness of Indian festivals — the flash of fireworks, the rhythm of dhol, the sweetness of laddus. The book is a great way to inspire curiosity about Indian cultural festivities in young diaspora kids. Can’t wait to see more from the author!

We absolutely love this book! Perfectly sized for my toddler who carries it around 24/7 like a security blanket and exclaims “Samosa! Samosa!” when she’s hungry which is a nice change from “pizza! Burger!” My wife and I also really love the eco-conscious sustainable packaging and even read through the packaging messages with the kiddos! Never to early to teach them about their world! Thank you Desi Kid Store!

Such a beautifully illustrated book. Clean sharp and neat prints and very good quality pages. This book plus a few others made for the perfect Diwali gift for bacchus around me, and it seems like their parents are enjoying the books just as much. I also highly recommend Count with Krishna and Kabeer’s Tasty Treats.
